Volunteer Opportunities

Great Volunteer Opportunities are always available!

Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and Guardians of active Cub Scouts are encouraged to help our pack in different ways throughout the year.  All help is appreciated, no matter what you can commit to.  Available opportunities change based on Scout activities and leadership openings. Remember, no volunteer stands alone! We know the thought of volunteering can seem like a lot, but our group is always ready to help parents make the most of the pack for the sake of our scouts!

If you can help at an event, use the sign-up genius link from the Pack email that will be sent out before the event. Let us know at a meeting or email us if you need help finding opportunities that fit your schedule. We will be happy to help you find a position that's right for you!

Annual leadership positions are available, too!

FAQs

Why is volunteering important?

The more we can rely on parents to support the pack, the more we can do! Meetings, events, camping, and even parties can't happen without parents to help plan, participate, and have fun!

I'm afraid I won't have time to volunteer...

Volunteering your time doesn't have to be difficult! No one is alone as a parent volunteer; we work as a group to make sure the scouts have everything they need! Most positions consist of the time your scout is attending a meeting, with an optional monthly Committee Meeting.

Are there any opportunities not listed above?

There are so many ways to help! A helping hand at a regular meeting, Baloo Training for camping, and staying to help during or after any scout event are great ways to volunteer with the pack. Committee positions will be advertised as they open, but if you have a great suggestion, let us know!

Who benefits from my volunteer time?

We all benefit from the time you can give. Don't forget that volunteering gives you the chance to spend quality time with your child, as well as the chance to suggest activities for our scouts. It also allows the current volunteers the flexibility to put more effort into the roles they already have.

What if I can't attend every meeting or event?

You can still help out! Den leaders may need an extra hand with crafts. You can always come along on hikes and walks with your Cub Scout. We may even need an extra hand during parties. Just let us know you're willing to step in!
