CAMPING!
Where do we go?
As a Pack, we go camping with our families twice a year - once in the Spring and our Graduation Camping trip in June.
Campgrounds we've gone to include:
Minsi Trails Council also has BSA Campgrounds, including Akeleland Resident Camp
What do we need?
When we go camping, it's important for every Scout to bring their 6 Essentials for hiking. They include:
First Aid Kit
Flash light
Sun Protection
Trail Food
Water bottle (filled with water)
Whistle
What do we do?
On our trips, our pack sticks together! We have fun and work on badge requirements.
Scouts can:
Help set up camp
Go on a Pack hike
Help make meals
Cook s'mores on the fire
Participate in a flag retirement ceremony
...and much more!
Scouts Leave no Trace!
Remember to bring important gear! Along with a tent and sleeping bag, scouts need to have these items for every camping trip:
Mess kit or reusable plate, bowl, cup, and utensils
Refillable water bottle for hikes
Washcloth and Towel
Don't forget to label your items.
Always check in and around your site so that we leave nothing behind when packing up!
